... does that sound half baked? :614:

Seriously though, when I was small, I wouldn't eat any vegetables that were cooked (bar potatoes) and I always had separate bowls of raw veg put out for my meals.

I wouldn't eat pastry either or very much bread. I'm sure your body knows instinctively what is good for you.

Over the years though I gradually ate more cooked food.

I don't think, though, that I could go fully raw now but I frequently have meals with a high proportion of raw veg in. It's going to be interesting exploring with everyone how to increase the raw element.

LOL no not half baked MrsB! Maybe 50% raw tho ;) Good work!

I think the ethos of eating raw is that it's very much down to the individual, and that some days it may not be that easy to have a whole raw day (which is also fine) when you are out and about, especially in the UK it seems. I know when I was trying to beat Candida and wanted something when we were out on the road, there was nothing readily available that didn't contain wheat, sugar, yeast etc............luckily I found a village store (they're becoming few and far between!!!) and managed to buy a couple of apples for lunch!

I think we all tend to end up eating cooked food as it's more the social norm and if you dare choose a salad...............well you MUST be dieting  Yet in the heat we've been having this year, I just couldn't eat anything cooked!! The test for me will be our much cooler winters.........but then a nice warming Vita- Mix thai soup will cure that! ;)
