According to this NHS site (http://www.equip.nhs.uk/Events/EventDetail.aspx?ItemID=4) it says that the Food Allergy & Intolerance Week for 2010 will be 25-29th January ;)

I only realised the extent of my allergies and intollerances once I had become raw and stopped comsuming foods, it was only after I started to feel well that I realised how unwell I actually was, years of too much alcohol had led to a condition called "refux esophagitis" and I also have "reflux nephropathy" both are caused by alcohol, and also by foods I was intollerant to and my congenitally deformed kidney has exacerbated the problem....
I can not consume any PORK products especially any that have been "cured" with nitrites, I will be hospitalised and could die if my kidney suffered complete failure...such is the toxicity of these "foods!!"
I struggle if I eat any wheat or eggs or dairy, the kidney reflux is so severe the pain so great I do gladly for go these foods they are certainly worse if combined!
My doctors had spent years prescribing pills that just in the end made things worse, I wish now I knew a bit more about raw foods 10+ years ago, would I have listened??? maybe, I started my food journey at 15 when I gave up eating Turkey after seeing a film on them! now 20 years later I believe passionately in Raw, and am saddened that I can not "preach" the message, people still need to find out for them selves, sure they can be prompted and the curious questions answered...but, in the end, it has to be the eaters choice...

I'm just including this link for information purposes for anybody with allergies and intolerances or perhaps think they might have (45% of the population have a food intolerance!);

And this is a major breakthrough and much more affordable than it has been, it's a home blood testing kit (http://www.allergyuk.org/news_fooddetective.aspx)

The Food Detective™ tests for food specific IgG reactions to 59 commonly eaten foods and is provided with a step by step instruction guide.
Further details on the test, including an instructional video are available at www.food-detective.com (http://www.camnutri.com/index.php?cPath=23)

This test is normally £55 but will be available with a 20% discount (£44) during Food Allergy & Intolerance Week (25th - 29th Jan 2010).
