Volcanic dust cloud

Just wondering how this will affect us, am hoping it will actually help the crops maybe, but access to some of the more exotic foods that people consume may be restricted with flights being stopped.

You may be right about that Jax, i didnt think of it until you posted here.

I just hope it settles down before hubby and I head off to Canada at the beginning of May :O

Was in Sainsbury's this afternoon & there were a few empty spaces & signs along the fresh fruit & veg shelves saying something along the lines of 'we are experiencing supply difficulties due to volcanic dust' etc etc! I always try to 'Buy British' whenever I can, although sometimes it's difficult to decide between organic OR British.... At least all the British producers may benefit if air freight etc problems continue.... so every cloud has a silver lining (even volcanic ones!)
