I'm just a curious student interested in the world of raw foods,
after lurking for about 2 days I decided to register and join.
I was glad to stumble upon this place as I am seeking support
to help me transition to this new diet.
I want to become a raw foodist to help with problems such as my
eczema,mild rosacea and weight issues.
I also want to gather as much information I can on getting hold of
organic produce in the UK.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a great day,its nice that you accepted me onto this forum aswell. Thanks :D
Hi Naoko and welcome.
You should get plenty of support here and do feel free to ask questions as it not only helps you but also others ;)
And thanks hope you've had a great day too, we have had yet another excellent and creative potluck today in Southampton, I'll be adding the photos soon so you can see for yourself :D
Hi Naoko!
Great to see a fellow Leicester student here! Hurray :)
You just missed a raw evening that me and a friend held on thursday for some raw-curious Leicester Veggies... Hope you can come along to the next Leicester veggies (http://www.leicesterveggies.org.uk/index.html) meeting at the Friends Meeting House, Queens Road this coming thursday - there will be raw chocolate samples to try. Would be great to meet you.
Leicester wholefoods co-op (http://www.wholefoodcoop.co.uk/) has some fresh organic produce if you haven't already checked them out? There's also a few organic farm shops dotted around if you do a google search. There's usually some organic things in the supermarkets, and usually organic bananas at Leicester market if you keep an eye out.
I've been raw in Leicester for nearly 4 years, so can give you lots of info if you want to know anything ^_^
Anyway, hope to see you soon!

Thanks for the warm welcoming everyone.
Lupa,you have saved my life!
I think transitioning will be a lot easier now, with that link,
they have organic spinach, now I'm ecstatic! LOL
Oh yeah you are right,I found fairtrade banana's in leicester market for 50p,and thought that was a bargain, and sometime last year there used to be an organic stall there, they specialised more in root vegetables more then anything else, but I have not been checking frequently enough to know if that particular stall is still there. :(
I found edenfarms.co.uk,when I googled organic fruit and veg,so yes thats true but they didn't supply spinach![mini obsession]
As for the invitation for the group,I might make an appearance, but I have a really busy schedule right now, university work is piling on top of me. :(
I have about 4 deadlines this month, its a bit crazy.
When you started your raw food diet, did you do it overnight or slowly?
Do you have an email address so I could stay more in contact?

Ha ha as it should be..............you can't have all the student nights and no work ;););) :p:p Ignore me I'm jealous.........I'd love to be a student again :pout:
Not sure if you've spotted it yet, but up at the right of the forum under your name is the private message link where you can pm each other http://www.rawinuk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Ah I found the pm area, but how do you turn your links into words,
if that makes sense?
Copy your link to the site you want, come back to your post here and highlight the text that you want to become your link, then click on the icon that's on the 2nd line of the reply box on here (it's the green world with a chain link at the bottom of it), then paste your link in the pop up and click ok http://www.rawinuk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
