Ok so I admit I'm a massive green smoothie fan but today with the freezing weather, fresh snowfall and tempermental boiler the idea, I have to say, did not fill me with joy. My inner toddler was stamping her foot, threatening to roll on the floor in a full scale tantrum demanding something 'normal' and warming.:7854:
So I threw some water, some almond butter, a couple of dates, an apple, some buckwheaties, some flax seed and some cinnamon in the Vita Mix (I'm still in love with it) and let it rip until I had a nice warm bowl of breakfast 'cereal'. Yeah, one happy tum

I don't blame you Kirsteen.
We all had breakfast straight from the dehydrator so it was warm!
We munched on courgette crips, crispy tacos, some raw brownies (not yet iced and still warm) and some almond/chick pea dip left over from yesterday from the fridge as well as pieces of clementine and banana. Hardly the best food combining, but raw and comfort food is needed in the snow, even for raw foodies.
I've not even had my green smoothie yet today - maybe later. Yesterday we made some yummy warm chocolate with almond mylk, dates and a little carob and cacao powder in the blender - the ultimate comfort drink. In fact, I might go off to make some more right now after my salad lunch!

Funnily enough I had a very similar drink last night but I cheated and added a little honey and vanilla essence. I envy you the dehydrator. I'm experimenting at the moment using my oven. It's electric and I can put it really low but it's all a bit hit and miss. Hopefully next month I'll be able to get an excalibur.
As far as your brownies go - it's probably a really good job that I can't make them or I think I'd be tempted to have them at every meal. They're awesome. Even really fussy non-raw eaters enjoyed them at Xmas.

So glad you liked the Brownies. We eat way too many of them! I've been asked by a national magazine to send a sample this week as they are going to do a 'cake test' of various cakes. This will be interesting to see!
Dehydrators are fab - I could not do without mine these days.
Oh WOW Annette that's amazing news...............and I know yours will score highly!!! ;););)
