So far for me, this has been the most affordable raw coconut oil, Biona Coconut (http://www.windmillorganics.com/product-194.html), but I am assuming when they say RAW they mean raw and haven't asked for any verification..............one day when I get 5 mins!! :o

We tend to get the 400g jar from Goodness Direct (http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/script/search.html) for £6.89 at the moment, I haven't seen it cheaper anywhere else especially when you factor in the P&P which is free on orders over £35 at Goodness Direct..........so tend to stock up on it and a couple of other things to reach the £35 ;)

LOL I am in no way plugging Hotsellers, as I am not affiliated with anybody that I blab on about on this site (*we do now have affliate links to help with costs of this site), but when the boss Sarah Jane rang me about my coconut water this week, we got into a discussion about coconut oil..............erm as you do :o

She said that the one they import is very pure, has the highest lauric acid content than other products and very definitely raw as the factory that produces it is doing so on a small scale.

But she admitted that it wasn't the cheapest but also said it wasn't the most expensive - 500ml for £13.99 with free delivery (http://www.hotsellersdirect2u.co.uk/cocovida/cocovida.html).

Now I'm very shocking at maths and I'm not sure how the heck you convert mls to grams to compare with the Biona one...............so if anybody can please do feel free to let me know here.

Unfortunately it appears to depend on the molar mass of the Coconut oil - it's probably easiest if we just buy one of the ones measured in ml and weigh it :)

While I'm faffing with pdf's for coconut water I thought I'd stick one on here for the coconut oil nutrition info.

It's been taken from the Coconut Research Centre (http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/index.htm) there's a button on the left of the site for Nutrition Facts and the whole thing is there, the pdf I've attached here is just the coconut oil info though.

I have tried a number of different coconut oils/butters. I used to use the Biona for a while - it tastes OK but does not have such a coconutty taste as the centrifugally cold pressed one I use now.

I can now confirm that the Biona Coconut oil from Windmill Organics (http://www.rawinuk.com/showthread.php?p=309#post309) is definately raw :D

I always use Biona as I found it was the best tasting one (for me).
This last batch (new label which says raw) doesn't taste as nice.
I wondered if they changed the way it is processed.
I used to be able to eat a few tbs spoons at a time
now I don't like it on its own!!!!
maybe my taste buds are changing

That's a shame ani, I haven't ever known that.

The Biona coconut oil is £6.99 for 400g at Goji King (http://www.gojiking.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=26) P&P is dependent on weight.
