Just read in Healthy this month that you can donate your old jewellery to the Alzheimer's Society where they'll recycle it to raise funds.

"If you have jewellery that is either broken or no longer wanted, Alzheimer's Society can put it to worthy use by recycling it to raise funds to help fight dementia.
Any jewellery of any kind, such as an odd cufflink or earring, a coin or a bracelet whose fashionable days are over, can be converted into money desperately needed to fund the Society's work. This work includes providing care and support for people with dementia and their families, as well as funding research into the causes and possible cures for dementia.
We would greatly appreciate your support in this on-going appeal that has already raised over £360,000 to support our crucial work"
Jewellery can be sent to:

Freepost RRUL-HZKT-YHKG
Alzheimer's Society
Devon House
58 St Katharine's Way
London
