Ordered & was delivered today Haverawcakeandeatit Chocolate cake with nuts/seeds
made it and ate it.
Both me & hubby liked the rich texture, would like to add a tiny adjustment to recipe I would put a teaspoon of camu camu into the icing just to lift it into more amazing places

I waffle again

A great cake & way of buying a really genuine raw cake, simple enough to put together I did this icing whisking just crushing the powders into the butters with my fingers, lovely idea as I got to clean them mmmmm

After consuming the lovely haverawcakeandeatit (what a typeful that line is!!!) I received today from Kate Magic the Quantum Cake...
well my hubby didn't like it one bit, I called Jax & my mum and we had a proper taste off, comparing the haver.... and the Qu...
well I think for starters the Qu... doesn't look a bit like the picture on the cover of the book (we all know that picture surely!) and I reckon there are buckwheaties, mulberries, linseed, cacao, purplecorn, amongst other things in it, I felt it was an ok cake. The Hav... had more taste but the Qu had the better texture, however something weird happens when you eat it. It dries you out, it's moist but like cranberry juice has a drying effect, I think this is down to the seed content.
Overall both cakes are great, but I make cakes to sell on the stall each week and in fairness I prefer my own.
My Cheese cake type cakes are what I like,
Would I order more from the lovelies who produce the hav.. & Qu... yes but not for a special occasion as is touted as a reason for the Qu... it is quoted by eaters on the site as the best cake ever...taking years of raw food diet to be able to make such a thing... I beg to differ as I dont think Have...has been raw for years and her cake tastes better. I would buy if I was doing a large event to offer a variety of cakes to people, as we all know making quality cakes takes time effort expense and experience and these cakes and their creators offered all that & more.
