Noobie!!!

hi everyone,
its great to finally find a uk based forum for us raw foodies.

i have been insulin dependant diabetic type 1 for over 3 years, ive been eating 90% raw/ alkaline foods since early july this year and no longer need to take insulin.

i love to eat raw.

i live in north wales, is anyone else living in wales??

Hi Sharon, that's absolutely amaaazing about the insulin!!

I'm hoping you'll also be a great asset down the bottom of the site in the allergy and intolerance section, it's not really just confined to those as I think many conditions are interlinked and eating more raw can seem to help a variety of conditions. It would be great if you could post about various diabetic products whether they are good or bad etc, as I only have a small amount of knowledge on diabetes but am avidly interested as both sides of my family suffer with it.

Also please feel free to add any events that you know of happening in Wales, I can never seem to find much :o

That is fantastic news about stopping your insulin. I had gestational diabetes in both my pregnancies and if I had known then what I know now I might have been able to avoid insulin for those pregnancies. Great to have you hear and am very interested in hearing about your diet and how you achieved what you did.
