Does anyone have any recommendations on what raw things to feed your cats or dogs??
Here's a link for homemade cat food, it looks like one is cooked and one might be raw at the bottom - Feline Diet (http://www.felinediet.net/homemade/)
Hi Sasta, here's another link for you to check out................looks like you have to transition quite carefully
Raw Fed Cats Link! (http://www.rawfedcats.org/practicalguide.htm)

OOO I'm on a mission now! The following link has TONS of other links on it's site;
This site is about dispelling many myths about feeding raw food to pets. (http://www.rawfed.com/myths/index.html)
Having been reading a bit more on this subject, it looks as though dogs might be able to tolerate a small amount of veg in the diet but so for a cat's diet. There seems to be quite a lot of debate on the subject, but I found this really interesting - a vegetable eating dog reaches Age 27! (http://dogsinthenews.com/issues/0209/articles/020918a.htm)

Book for raw doggies on Ebay at the mo!! (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170363730778)
NB - now finished
I met a vet today at Health Etcetera called Susanna McIntyre that advocates pets being fed a raw food diet and that recommends this pet food - Prize Choice (http://prizechoice.co.uk/), and has more feeding information on her site here (http://www.petplus.info/feeding.htm).
In addition she was selling tubs of supplement called 'Pet Plus for cats' and one for dogs. This is not only designed to compliment a raw food diet but also for pets that are not yet eating a raw programme. The comprehensive ingredients range from Safflower petals to a shot of Wheatgrass, more information on the ingredients can be found here (http://www.petplus.info/MoreInfo.htm).
My cat can be a little picky with things but was extremely interested when I opened the tub up!! He's not on raw just yet, he's 'transitioning' so it will be interesting how much this helps him on his current diet.

My dogs are loving a raw diet. I order from http://www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk/pages/berriewood-frozen-food-1211.htm
LOL after many years of housing a cat, I've just discovered that not only do they not like their water near their food, but that they don't particularly like tap water due to the strong smell of chlorine, and prefer it to stand for a while........unfortunately I can't remember where I read that.
My cat is a bit strange in that he doesn't want to drink the tap water out of his bowl, but will happily drink it out of the bath tap, I'm thinking that maybe it's because the water is sat there a couple of days (we mostly have showers) :confused2: However, what's even better is that he completely prefers the rainwater that is collected for the plants, so I just nip out and fill his bowl from that rather than run the tap.....................nature, it does make sense eh! http://www.rawinuk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
