Nice and simple, nice and quick - what delightful raw delicacy are you preparing for you and your family tonight???? :7850::5158:
Or maybe you're off out to have a bite to eat at your favourite raw restaurant (don't forget to review it) so tell us all what you decided to try off the menu!!!:7854::7854:
If you spare 5 minutes each day to share what you're having with the rest of the Raw in UK members, you might educate and inspire someone to try something new, and if you can link to the recipe on the recipe board even better :7854:
And as a starter for ten we had a simple green salad with fresh organic lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes from the garden, almonds, watercress, baby leaf spinach, rocket and it's being followed by a raw lemon cheesecake with Carob chocolate sauce (pictures to follow on the recipes board).
LOL well unfortunately you WON'T be eating the raw cheezecake I've made:5145: ......................well not until tomorrow night anyway ;)
I've had a nice veg juice so far and am having a nice healthy salad to make up for the alcohol I've had this weekend.............. :5152:
Tonight we are having Ani Phyo's walnut and garlic soup YUMMMM............lol never had it before but it sounds luscious :5155: << that's me in a mug of it!
If it IS good I wouldn't mind trying it out with some wild garlic one day.

I just had a simple salad tonight of lettuce, celery, avocado, asparagus tips, spring onions, olives, olive oil and lemon juice. It was very tasty - I love salad.
I used to think salad was soooooooooo boring, but now I eat more raw foods that just isn't the case anymore for some reason  Maybe it's because my view of food has changed, like when I had to eliminate foods with the intolerances and candida, I felt denied and restricted  but now it's more like a choice because I know that salad stuff makes me feel a lot better, and so I'm happier to eat it.......................or have I just waffled on there LOL :D
I think also, since eating in a more raw way, I've got a lot more adventurous with foods and so maybe that makes my salads more interesting ;) Who knows!
Well I found the walnut and garlic soup a bit too salty last night, so I'm thinking that wild garlic would be a LOT better in it. I also made some 'bread' which is yummy so I'll be having a sandwich for lunch today, and then tonight we're having wraps with stuff in, haven't quite worked out what the stuff will be yet! :D
Oh and haverawcake, I made your tortilla chips last night, but have to say mine look nowhere NEAR as good as yours! :o But they ARE tasty! http://www.rawinuk.com/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://www.rawinuk.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
Uh oh I got carried away, that's cos I have coconuts LOL...............add Carribbean pudding for tonight too :D

Glad you liked the crispy tacos - they are a bit of a staple in our house as my kids love them. Even better with fresh organic sweetcorn around at the moment, although my kids love eating that raw, cut off the cob, so I don't get a chance to make it into crispy tacos at the moment. I think we might have some for dinner tonight with some salad. I know what you mean about salad. I used to think it was boring and I used to think chewing lettuce was a waste of time as it took so long - how wrong I was. I also make my salads more interesting - I love olives in them - especially yummy raw olives - I use the olive oil that they come in as it is cold pressed and organic and some freshly squeezed lemon juice as a dressing so I never buy olive oil anymore - I just use the oil from the olives.
Well I had a Walnut & Goji stuffed tomatoes, an Onion Burger, a Taco, the falafel and mango salsa and some nori crackers, with a small side salad :D Everything except the side salad came from The Rawvolutionizing Kitchen (http://www.rawinuk.com/showthread.php?t=154) at Sunnyfields today, and it was grrreat! I am a bit obsessed with the onion burger and the nori crackers though :o

I had a big green smoothie, celery juice, cuc juice, added to an avo and some fresh pineapple with squeeze of 1 lime and a wee bit chilli. Gorgeous.xxx
OOO that juice sounds quite exotic Barbara, I might try that one day :D
Hm well we're away for around 5 days visiting 2 lots of family who have found it tricky with me being veggie AND wheat intolerant :o so it's going to be very tricky for me to eat raw foods............wish me luck! LOL :D
Arrgggg I haven't eaten very well at all over the long weekend :o LOL I'm going to have to detox this week ;)

Matt Amsdens from the book Rawvolution
Scarborough fair soup
in a nutshell it's cucumber, bellpepper, celery, onion, coconut (sadly from a can, local shops seem to have run out of fresh ones again) olive oil, salt, sage, thyme, rosemary, parsley....haha see the fair bit.
& for starters we had haverawcakeandeatit's chocolate cake with seeds/nuts
we often do things the wrong way round it makes for better digestion to have something really pudding like first then wait an hour and eat your savoury....I reckon this is the christmas day senario.....
get up eat far to much (i'm talking pre raw days but I bet more than one of you can relate to this ditty) eat so much you literally pass out with the lukocytosis that then takes place in the body...hey then you wake up or revive and eat a turkey sandwich!!! or another bar of creamy crud....
see all the taste buds were stimulated by the very last thing that passed your lips the chocolate mint & coffee that finished the meal and you off, these sweet stimulants can be applied to any diet, so if you want pudding eat it first then the stimulation trigger can only be filled by some savoury dish this wont trigger any more issues and you don't over eat and you get the best of both worlds...
sage saying....if you've got chocolate on your fingers you are eating it too slowly xxx:)
Well I can't believe how full I feel today! All that I've had today is a 1/3 of a pint of smoothie with spirulina and ground flax, 1 and a half slices of Kate Magic's Quantum cake (couldn't finish the 2nd one!), and a slice of haverawcake's cake for lunch, and then a small green salad for tea tonight, and 3 herbal teas and some water..............and if you told me I'd manage on this about 18 months ago I'd have laughed at you :o But I have honestly felt stuffed today :D
We had raw tomato and basil soup..................with the tomatoes from the garden, fab!!! :D
