Hi does anybody know where I can get my hands on some in the UK??

I spoke to somebody who said the difficulty is the weight and that one supplier closed down as they were losing money on importing them, so I'm not holding out much hope :(

Edit: Interesting info, a young Thai coconut is called Maphroa in Thai

I found chopping randomly with the largest knife I have eventually pays off, and the reward
a messy kitchen and a drink x

Woohooo just got a couple of the white coconuts today £2 each, I asked the bloke when he was getting the green ones in again, and he thinks Friday for them ;)

I can't believe how big that place is now Karen, and they even have mulberries in there! :D

You are so lucky! I used to live really near there - at the bottom of Earls Road just off Bevois valley. I can't find them anywhere in Cambridge!

Oh wow, I used to live in Gordon Road from about 87-88 :D

Well I was hoping that more people would post to let everybody know where they are getting them around the UK :(

LOL Southampton and Spitalfields Market isn't much good to you eh

Asian markets look to be the best bet, I've just read a post from 2006 saying that Mattas in Liverpool (http://www.mattas.co.uk/) sold them if that helps anybody.

In Southampton we have a few, have you got any in Cambridge??
