I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with VBull that makes this forum, but there are a couple of things that you can play with on here;

Obviously you can have your own avatar as most forums have, but we also have some custom smilies for this site.......on a fitness and food theme :5158: Now some may wonder why on EARTH we have a donner kebab, bread basket, pancake flipping and various boozy smillies etc on a RAW food forum!! :eek: Well it's simple, they came as a package and seeing as we also include an allergy and intolerance section then they could well be used by others who are not so into raw food.

This forum also gives you the opportunity to 'personalise' your profile, just like this French Crab (http://www.rawinuk.com/member.php?u=5) has errrr, ummmm 'tastefully' done?? :614: To perhaps do a more tasteful version - click on your name and click 'customize your profile' on the right............then fiddle around in there.

When you are in your profile you can also add friends to your list, create 'Group Memberships' eg The Alfafa Sprout Fans (which I won't be joining :o ), and also create photo albums of anything (not rude things tho please :o:o ), perhaps like the things you have uncooked!

Raw in UK also includes an internet radio station so you can listen to some tunes as you mooch about the site. This can be found under the scrolling banner on the front page of the site, and includes links to download technical things that allow you to listen to it like these >>> http://www.rawinuk.com/images/misc/im_winamp.gifWinamp (http://95.211.2.164:8000/listen.pls) http://www.rawinuk.com/images/misc/im_real.gifReal (http://www.rawinuk.com/#) http://www.rawinuk.com/images/misc/im_winmp.gifMedia (http://www.rawinuk.com/#) http://www.rawinuk.com/images/misc/im_qt.gifQuicktime (http://www.rawinuk.com/#) You can also view which song is playing at the time in the scrolling text in the Radio bar. Listen out for The Owls on Thursday nights and there may be a Music Quiz on Friday evenings.

Hope you enjoy the little extras, any questions just post here thanks.

Somebody wanted to know how to post pics on this site, so I've written it our here too;

To add photos you need an account with one of the online hosters like Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) or Tinypic (http://tinypic.com/), I think Photobucket is the easiest to use and they've been very reliable over the years I've used them.

Once you've uploaded your pics there, copy the direct link to the pic you want to use. When you have a 'Reply to thread' box open on here, you select the icon that looks like 2 mountains, yellow sky and a sun (hover over it and it will say 'Insert Image', it's the 6th button from the right at the top of the reply box) and then paste your link in there and it will automatically load up for you.

It is really easy whne you get the hang of it, so stick with it, but of course if you have any problems let either Godders or I know and we will help.

I should add that you can also post a poll for anything you want to (you'll find the option underneath your post reply box), they can public so that everyone can see who voted for what...............or seeing as you are quite a quiet crew you can make a private one so nobody can see who voted for what ;)

I've added a few more smilies to the list today...............including some seasonal ones :peace:

Edit: I should add that you might notice that your regular smilies have changed on the right hand panel of your reply box, but to be quick you can stil drag and drop the smilies at the bottom of the reply box into your post - hope that makes sense!
