I have an allergy to peanuts but I found that in recent years it seems to have faded.
E.g. when I was younger if I ate peanuts by accident (I know that sounds incredibly stupid, how do you pick up a peanut and eat it by accident? :o) I'd feel quite sick and my throat would feel a bit swollen.
Now however I can eat foods containing peanuts and only have a slight reaction... in fact it's hardly noticeable. All other nuts are fine.
I wonder whether it's something you just grow out of... the other day I had a cornetto ice cream which had little peanuts on it and I didn't feel any kind of reaction to them at all.
I'm just curious as to whether this is common, i.e. allergies fading as you grow out of childhood. :confused:
